Everet Aertszen 1692 Wyntje DeVoe 1695

Note: The Old Dutch Church of Sleepy Hollow was organized in 1697 and the name changed to the First Reformed Church of Tarrytown, New York. Its records were originally written in Dutch. The record book (available for free online - go to Google books to download a copy) only covers the time period 1697-1785. The book was published in 1901, a time when the original book was in poor shape to begin with (there is a picture of it in the book as well as a picture of the church) so there were already names that could not be deciphered but what is there is fabulous as a resource for family historians.

Everet (Everard) Aertszen
Born abt 1692
Parents Willem Aertszen and Christine Nagel
Note: I'm not completely sure about this set of parents for Everard. The Fulkerson.org page does not list him among the children and they have done a good job of sourcing.
Married Wyntje Devoe abt 1714 New York

Note: His surname is spelled Aarsen on page 10 and his wife's given name is spelled Wyntie.
Wyntje Devoe

Parents Abraham Devoe and Jemima Jurckse

Marriage: First Record Book of the Old Dutch Church page 163

Note: I have seen Family Group Sheets that list Abraham as the next child. However, Abraham Aertzen baptized in 1717, did not belong to Everet. Everet and his wife were just the sponsors of the boy at his baptism, they were not his parents. In 1744, Everet and Wyntie sponsored another Abraham, but are his uncle/aunt and not his parents.

Mynno Aertzen
She may or may not have existed. There is no record of her in the church, but there is a large span between Willem and Jan, so I left her here with the idea that she may have died before she was baptized. There may have also been another child in this span.
