Died at Bath on the 14th inst. Deacon William O. Giberson, on the 76th year of his age, leaving wife, four sons & 5 daughters and a large number of relatives and friends to mourn their loss. The deceased was widely known, respected by all. His funeral sermon was preached by Rev. S.E. Currie; 3 other ministers took part in the services. His remains were followed to the grave by hundreds; Seldom has there been seen so large a concourse of people in that place.

Died at Giberson Settlement on the 16th of October, Mrs. Temperance Giberson, Widow of the late William Giberson, aged 83 years & 10 months, leaving 3 sons, 4 daughters, 47 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren to mourn their loss. Her burial took place on the 19th, the services being conducted by elder D.E. Brooks, assisted by Rev. S.E. Sprague.

Death Notice in paper:  Stephen Giberson of Mars Hill died very suddenly Monday.  He had been stopping at his daughter's place at Clearview.
