Married: John Varah Long 10 Jun 1856 Endowment House, Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah (he was a polygamist - 5 other wives - and was, at one time, one of Brigham Young's clerks.  John was eventually excommunicated from the LDS church in 1866 - the reasons are always kept private in ecclesiastical circles.  Three years later, in 1869, he was dead.  Some claim he was murdered; his body was found in a few inches of irrigation ditch water and more than a hundred years later, rumor runs wild.  On November 1, 2007, KTVX, a Salt Lake City television station, announced that a number of his diaries and letters related to his position had surfaced. Note:  This was one year before the Presidential election of 2008 and one of the candidates was a member of the LDS Church - a rather curious thought.
