His birthdate seems to fit nicely between Charles and Margaret, but that doesn't mean it's true. I found all the other children's christening dates but his and that is suspicious. I will keep looking and, for now, take the information as is from Ancestral File. Another reason I have trouble with is the fact he didn't name any children after either parent. Though not completely unheard of, it is unusual for this era.

Note:  All I know is that the register recorded this girl belonged to John Eagles and Jone - there were question marks by her name and her fathers.  Therefore, there is a chance that this child is not a member of this family - given the proximity of the christenings, I rather doubt it, but I've been wrong before. I'd rather be safe than sorry and simply make a note of it until I can see the original document and see if it will shed more light on this unusual development.  There were Evins's and Etheridges that also lived in the Parish and any bad penmanship would add to the difficulty of transcribing.
