HIS WILL says (in part):
I give to my son John Patrick ...all my land in Charles Parish which I bought of James Faison...and he to convey the land on Piney Point to his brother William Patrick as soon as convenient...

To my loving son Curtis Patrick - two parcels of land whereon Edward Baptist and William Britain now liveth - containing one hundred and sixty acres of land...
To my loving son William Patrick, land I bought of Martha M.....
I give to my son Merritt Patrick land I bought of John Lilbourne and the land descended to me from my father, to him and to his heirs forever.
To my son John Patrick, negro.
To my grandchild Mary Patrick, daughter of my son Thomas Patrick, deceased, a Negro girl called Sarah and child Jack.

NOTE: 28 years after John died, a chancery case (a court case dealing mainly in equity) came before York Co. Court requesting the estate of John Patrick Jr be distributed and the following received an 1/8 share: (his sons are in italics)
