From Family Search -  modified to avoid repetition (the kids are listed):

This account is written by LaRue Elkins-Stuart daughter of Wallace Gustave Poulson, granddaughter of John Lorenzo Poulson, great-granddaughter of William (Vilhelm) Poulson, great, great-granddaughter of Poul Ottensen and Ane Kirstine Rasmussen. The information is edited from dates on Family Search and the oral biography told by Maren Johanne Ottensen Taylor, Willian’s sister, and recorded by Naomi Tracy Skeen Poul was the first child of Otto Anderson and Johanna Larsen. Counting Poul there were seven sons and 2 daughters born into Otto and Johanna’s family. Otto was 26 years old when Poul was born, Johanna was 24. Paul Ottosen was 27 years old when he married Maren, she was 29. They were married for 21 years. They were blessed with 7 children. Lars born in 1820. There is no death date listed for Lars but he married Ingeborg Pedersen on the 14 of December 1851 when he was 31 years old. There is a record of Lars and Ingeborg having two daughters, one born in 1852 and the other in 1855. Mads (1822-1823) died as an infant, Karen (1824-deceased) Married Iver Friderichsen on the 5th of December 1852 when she was 28 years old. Her husband Iver died in 1853, the same year Karen gave birth to their daughter, Ane. Karen later married Rasmus Rasmussen there is no marriage date listed. Mads born (1826-1835), he died when he was 9 years old. Ane Catherine (1829-1835) died when she was 7 years old. twins Jens and Zeir born in 1834. There is no death date listed for either of the twins. Jens has had his temple work done except sealing to a spouse. If he married that information has not been found. Zeir marred Wihelmine Henriette Jochumsen on September 7th 1861. They had 6 children.

When Maren died on April 6th, 1843, three of their children had already died. Their surviving children were Lars 20 years old, Karen 19 years old, and the twins Jens, and Zeir 9 years old.

When Poul married Ane he was 48 years old and Ane Kirstine was 20.  Ane Kirstine was the 3rd daughter in a family of 5 girls born to her parents. Rasmus was 28 and Ane Kirstine was born and Johanne was 36.

Poul owned a little farm. Ane Kirstine was a good mother that taught her daughters to knit, sew, cook and take care of a home. The family was blessed with 9 children.

Their lives were filled with challenges and heartaches. On the 3rd of January 1851, twin girls were born. Karen died on the 15th of January, and her twin sister Ane Cathrine died on the 21st.

Their second child Hans died in 1853 he was just 7 years old. They were yet to face even greater losses when 4 years after the death of Hans, Christina died the day she was born 13 of May 1857. Ane Kirstine had buried 4 of nine children when Poul, her husband, died in 1859 at the age of 64. They were married for 16 years.

A year later, their youngest child Karoline age 3, also died. At the time of this last loss in their family the oldest child William was 15, Maren was 11, Annie was 8, and Bodil Stine was 6.  After the family was taught the Gospel, Ana Kirstina decided to sell the farm. Though she was newly widowed with 4 children, she decided to take her family and join the Saints immigrating to Utah. However, she found that the sale of the farm did not provide enough means for all of them to go together. Her oldest son, William, stayed in Denmark to come later. The sea voyage to their landing port in America took 6 seasick weeks and the long 6-week journey by ox-team across the plains took another toll on their family. Midway through the journey 7-year-old Bodil died, was gently wrapped in a quilt, and buried beside the trail. It was several years later William, about 26 by then, joined his remaining family in Utah. The year was about 1870
