Henry Wheeler 1634 Abigail Allen 1639-1696

Henry Wheeler
Parents: John Wheeler and Agnes Ann Yeoman
Christened 8 Feb 1634 St Edmunds, Salisbury, Wiltshire, England
Henry's Christening at St. Edmunds in Salisbury

Immigrated to Massachusetts Bay Colony 24 March 1634
Married Abigail Allen abt 1658 Massachusetts
Life Sketch of this family (modified from Family Search):
Henry Wheeler and Abigail Allen lived their entire lives in Salisbury, a small village that was settled by their parents before it became incorporated in 1640. It was located on the North shore of Massachusetts on the border of New Hampshire. Today the Wheeler’s and the Allen’s are recorded historically, as the first settlers on a Salisbury City Memorial in that seaside community. Henry, was the youngest son and 12th child born to John and Agnes Ann Yeoman.

Agnes Ann was the oldest child born into the very large family of William and Ann Goodale Allen born 4 January 1639 in Salisbury, Massachusetts Bay. Her parents also immigrated to America as young adults sometime prior to their marriage in Salisbury.

In 1659, Henry and Abigail were likely married on the town square in the Salisbury Church. For the next 26 years they raised 12 children in Salisbury.

Tragically, Henry lived only to the age of 52.   He left Abigail a widow with young children.

Died 18 June 1686 Salisbury, Massachusetts Bay Colony
