John Pilley
Christened 30 Mar 1732 Wentworth, York, England
Note: I have not seen this John listed among the others on any family group sheets. The logical explanation for this is the christening record which lists the father as Thomas Senior. I understand people's confusion. It may have been a simple clerical error. However, consider this: the other Thomas Pilley in the York records is their grandfather (Thomas b 1665) who is 66 years old. More importantly, his wife (64 years old) is still alive at this time so I included this John here.

This is a Family History blog. Lately, it was unblocked by Bitdefender which thought it was a 'dangerous site.' I requested and received a review and they deemed this blog as NOT dangerous. I invest a lot of time in gathering this information. Please give credit and list this blog as a source. Note that there are links that are no longer viable but I did use them as sources, so they are left in place, hopefully with a note letting you know that they are no longer working.

HI
ReplyDeleteI am a descendant of Thomas Pilley (1696) +Susannah Stephenson I am trying to track back via Thomas to his father Thomas Senior (1665) and from there further - can you advise what parish the records for Thomas Junior - can you assist?
Hi Clive, The information you seek is already on this blog, at least, as much as I have at this point. I just inserted some links so you can see a few more generations back from this Thomas.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck, your cousin Michelle.
