I am hoping that you can help me find my ancestor Martha Ebbett. She died in 1872, aged (according to her tombstone) 28. She was married to John W. Campbell and died at Arthurette, Victoria County. She seems to have almost certainly been a granddaughter of Joseph and Martha.
ReplyDeleteI note that in the 1851 census, a Martha Esterbrooks (sic.) is listed as living in Joseph and Martha's home and is their granddaughter. Could this be the Martha I am looking for (who later adopted her grandparents/adoptive parents surname?).
The sources I have for her are scarce. Limited to the gravestone (on which her maiden name is not mentioned) and her son's death certificate on which she is referred to as Martha Abbot (sic.).
Any pointers or info you have would be appreciated.
