Lillias Grieve Taylor |
Parents William Grieve and Janet Howat
Born 15 Oct 1883 Galston, Ayr, Scotland
Note from Family Search via Suzanne Callister: Although her obituary states her birth date as 1884 it was actually 1883. When her mother, Janet, immigrated to America she told the authorities that Lillias was two years of age rather than three years to save half fare. Lillias spent most of her life believing that she was a year younger than she was. This is recorded in the family records of her daughter, Ann Taylor
