Cornelius Harris
Christened 7 Jun1708 Owlpen, Gloucester, England
Married Anne Carefield 11 Jan 1727 Gloucester, England
Children;  Cornelius, Robert, John, Ann, Thomas
Died 27 Feb 1780
Note: the following may concern this Cornelius or his son who was named after him.
Gloucestershire notes and Queries mentions the following:
"A Mr. Cornelius Harris of Wotton-under-edge, late of Ewely (Uley) where he rented 500 Pounds per annum in lands is mentioned in the diary of Mr. Edmund Clutterbuck who states that they travelled by coach together from Cirencester to London in 1773. Mr Harris "began with 50 pounds."
A slightly different version is given in "London and Middlesex notebook p. 30" which is the place where the Gloucestershire notes and Queries got their information.  The article, which is the diary of Mr. Clutterbuck states: "...having added to our company a Mr. Cornelius Harris, a Butcher of Wooten-under-Edge late a dairyman and grazier as well as butcher at Ewely (Uley) where he rented 500 pounds per annum in lands. He began with 60 pounds."
